On August 19th, Sunwin held 10th Anniversary at Minya Hotel Shanghai. SAIC Vice President & SW Chairman Mr. Xiao Guopu, other SAIC leaders, VBC President Mr. Håkan Karlsson, SW board directors, leaders from Shanghai Traffic, Transportation & Port Management Bureau, Bashi Group, Public Transportation Association, Public Transportation customers, Qingdao Sunwin, former Sunwin leaders, Sunwin excellent employees and employee representatives were invited to the evening show.

      SAIC Vice President Mr. Xiao Guopu made an enthusiastic speech. In 10 years’ of hardship and difficulties, all Sunwin employees worked hard for the success of the company, received great care and help from all levels of government and former leaders. Now Sunwin has taken the second position in China large city bus manufacturing, explored product range from city bus to coach, from large city bus to medium city bus, esp. the new energy bus manufacturing and technical application where Sunwin has taken the leading position and received high praise. Hopefully Sunwin will work more earnestly and relentlessly! Looking ahead, we focus on development with the aim of growing Sunwin into a leading enterprise in China bus industry.

      VBC President Mr. Håkan Karlsson made a speech, expressed high comment on and expectation for Sunwin’s rapid development. At the anniversary, 21 excellent Sunwin employees were awarded. Sunwin employees’ works and performances were shown, which received applauds and praises from leaders and employees. The anniversary evening show put the 10th celebration activity to a climax, which encourages, inspires and excites all Sunwin employees.   .

New energy buses were first launched pilot run in Pudong. 75 units of diesel-motor hybrid buses have been launched to 5 lines as No. 119, No. 610, No. 779, No. 785 and No. 792, which occupy half of pilot run buses in Shanghai. These buses are only driven by two dynamic systems of internal-combustion engine and electric motor. Diesel motors are shut in the process of starting and low-speed drive; in the process of speed reduction, the hybrid system exchanges unnecessary energy into electric power and stores it in batteries, which largely reduces gas emission. Meanwhile, 9.6-km Expo Park super-capacitor Puming Line facilities have been set up invested by Pudong New Area District Government in Expo Park. Currently, Euro III and Euro IV standard buses have occupied 60% of Pudong New Area District transportation lines. New energy buses have also been promoted for application.

On July `12th, HR organized rationalization proposal liaisons from all departments and workshops to hold 2010 First Half Year Rationalization Proposal    Working Meeting & Second Half Year Work Requirement Meeting.

At the meeting, rationalization proposal is regarded as one of the key annual performance evaluation targets by SAIC group to subsidiaries and branch companies. SW collected 206 pieces of proposals in the first half year and has to collect 599 pieces of proposals in the second half year. To meet this requirement, we must pay special attention to the assigned target and guarantee its realization before end of the year. Hopefully, all company staff will take part in this rationalization proposal activity and figure out good ideas for the company,

On July 6th, an honorable group of guests led by Director Mr. Jin of Xinzhuang Industrial Zone and Secretary-General of Chamber of Commerce visited SW as an enterprise serving Expo event in Xinzhuang Industrial Zone. SW Labour Union Chairman Mr. Lao Zhixing and Sales & Marketing Dept. Manager Mr. Lu Yuliang received these leaders and expressed gratitude to them for solutions of 100 buses’ parking in this year.
