At the 2025 Hong Kong International Automotive and Supply Chain Expo, held on June 12 at the AsiaWorld-Expo, Sunwin Bus made a strong appearance with its flagship 10 Series 7-meter pure electric city bus and 11-meter pure electric coach. The showcase highlighted Sunwin’s leading capabilities in green technology and smart mobility.
As an integral part of SAIC Motor’s new energy strategy, Sunwin joined forces with MG, IM Motors, Maxus, and Wuling to form the “SAIC Smart EV Alliance,” presenting a united front of Chinese innovation at this key gateway to overseas markets. Together, they demonstrated the strength of “Intelligent Manufacturing in China” to audiences across Hong Kong, ASEAN, South Asia.
At this expo, Sunwin Bus prominently showcased two of its strategic new energy models—the 10 Series 7-meter pure electric city bus and the 11-meter pure electric coach—attracting strong interest from international visitors.
10 Series 7-Meter Pure Electric City Bus

Exterior Design: Showcases a modern, sophisticated styling language with sleek LED front headlights and stylish rear combination lamps, representing a new benchmark in premium coach travel.
Interior Design: Offers a spacious and elegant cabin with a warm, tasteful color scheme and soft, ergonomic seating that enhances overall ride comfort.
Space Efficiency: Designed with a wide interior layout and a through-type luggage compartment to accommodate more storage for long-distance travel.
Safety Configuration: The battery system includes a built-in fire suppression design and fireproof isolation materials, significantly improving operational safety and reliability.
Exhibition Reception Highlights
On June 12 (Day 1) of the expo, the Sunwin Bus booth welcomed several distinguished guests, including former political dignitaries, Vice President of the Chinese Association of Hong Kong and Macao Studies, and Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry of the Hong Kong SAR Government.
The delegation took a close look at Sunwin’s featured models—the 10 Series 7-meter pure electric city bus and the 11-meter pure electric coach. They focused on the vehicles’ performance in Hong Kong’s short-haul urban transport scenarios, including range capability and localized charging solutions, and engaged in in-depth discussions with the Sunwin team on market promotion strategies.
In addition to government visits, Sunwin Bus also welcomed multiple groups of local public transport stakeholders during the expo. Representatives from Hong Kong bus operators—including Citybus—and a delegation of minibus owners organized by local partner Inchcape visited the Sunwin booth. During technical briefings and vehicle walk arounds, the delegates shared practical feedback on vehicle performance, electric side mirrors, the independent driver cockpit, right-side blind spot monitoring, and 360-degree camera systems. Many of them had expressed strong interest and a willingness to explore future cooperation.
On June 13 (Day 2), the Sunwin booth welcomed key representatives from Kwok Chung Holdings Ltd. as well as vehicle traders from the Vietnamese market. The visitors showed strong interest in Sunwin’s 10 Series 7-meter pure electric city bus. Both sides engaged in preliminary discussions around minibus renewal demands in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia, exploring electrification scenarios and technical configurations suitable for regional transit needs.
On June 14 (Day 3), Sunwin received representatives from Wisemann EV charging systems and local transit operators. Both sides held in-depth discussions on integrated product and charging solutions tailored for the Hong Kong market.
On June 15 (Day 4), the former political dignitaries of the Hong Kong SAR, visited the Sunwin booth who praised Sunwin’s continued innovation in the new energy bus sector and its achievements in international market expansion. They also took a detailed look at the 10 Series 7-meter electric city bus and Sunwin’s intelligent transport solutions, encouraging the company to further contribute to Hong Kong’s green mobility development.
Market Research and On-Site Study
During the exhibition, the Sunwin team—accompanied by local partner Inchcape—conducted field visits to Inchcape’s retrofit facility in Yuen Long and the public transport interchange at Festival Walk. The purpose was to gain first hand insights into Hong Kong’s vehicle adaptation practices and the real-world operation of electric minibuses.
The team closely examined the layout of battery systems, charging infrastructure, chassis structure, and interior configurations of vehicles. Based on the city’s complex road conditions and the current state of charging infrastructure development, the team proposed future optimization directions for vehicle range, energy consumption, and charging rate to better meet the needs of the Hong Kong market.
