
Shanghai Sunwin Bus Corporation (SUNWIN) is a wholly owned subsidiary of SAIC Motor Corporation Limited, one of China's largest automotive manufacturers. Founded in August 2000, the company boasts a total investment of RMB 2.25 billion and a registered capital of RMB 1.37116 billion. Its corporate headquarters is located at No. 18 Guangzhong Road, Minhang District, Shanghai, China.
Sunwin's manufacturing base spans an area of 140,000 square meters, including over 60,000 square meters of built-up facilities. The site is equipped with comprehensive production lines for bodywork, painting, final assembly, and complete vehicle inspection. With an annual production capacity of nearly 3,000 units, Sunwin ensures the highest standards of product quality through the use of advanced automated equipment such as CNC six-sided body framing systems, robotic painting lines, and precision-controlled temperature and humidity spray booths.
The company has established a full-process management system and successfully achieved certification under the IATF 16949 Quality Management System in 2020. In 2025, it was officially recognized as the Enterprise Technology Center of Shanghai's Minhang District. Sunwin has developed a proprietary “4+4” core technology system—comprising four major R&D capabilities to drive new model development and four core testing competencies to ensure comprehensive product validation.
Sunwin offers a complete lineup of new energy buses, covering multiple propulsion systems including battery electric, fuel cell, plug-in hybrid, and dual-source trolleybus technologies. Its product portfolio spans vehicle lengths from 7 to 27 meters. With a strong focus on lightweight design and energy management optimization, Sunwin delivers high-efficiency, energy-saving solutions that integrate user-centric design with intelligent technologies, enhancing safety and operational efficiency for public transit systems.
To support its customers throughout the product lifecycle, Sunwin has developed the industry-leading “Sunwin 360 Service” system, which combines remote diagnostics with coordinated support mechanisms, providing comprehensive, efficient technical and after-sales service.
