Volvo7700 Hybrid Bus Debut in Shanghai Back List >November 2011 Recently, Volvo 7700 hybrid bus debuted in Shanghai Bashi Group. The low floor bus was designed and produced specially for the urban transportation. Compared with the original ordinary models buses, the fuel consumption of Volvo 7700 hybrid bus decreased 30%. Meanwhile the new bus can also decrease the emission and noise. With the outstanding outline and environmental protection panting, the bus attracted a lot of eyes. Accompanied by Han, manager of R&D Dept of Sunwin and VBC experts, Mr. Zhang Biwei, deputy general manager of Bashi Group, Mrs. Cai Xiaying, deputy chief engineer, and Mr. Niu Junliang, manager of Bashi Maintenance Dept. as well as other leaders visited the bus. After viewing the engine and battery structure, the Bashi leaders asked in details about the information on bus running, operation, charging, cost and etc. and made the communication with Hans on new energy bus industry development. By taking the opportunity of this presentation, Bashi and Sunwin hoped the hybrid bus with Volvo technology could enter into Shanghai public traffic and make contribution by reducing carbon dioxide emissions. ——From R&D Dept. |
