On the afternoon of March 30, Chairman Chen Hong, Vice President Chen Demei, Vice President Lan Qingsong, President Assistant Cai Bin, and leaders from the Commercial Vehicle Division and the Quality and Economic Operation Division of SAIC Motor visited Shanghai Sunwin Bus Corporation (hereinafter referred to as “SUNWIN”) to learn its recent product research and development, production and operation. General Manager Gui Longming, Party Committee Secretary Feng Yuan, Deputy General Manager Jin Gang, Deputy Party Committee Secretary Zhao Yiqiang, and directors from the Sales Company, the Technical Center, and the Quality Assurance Department of SUNWIN were present in the reception.
Chairman Chen Hong and his delegation first came to the trial production workshop of the SUNWIN Technical Center and had a look at the prototypes of SW 9 series standard pure electric bus, 9 series healthy bus, 9 series intelligent driving bus, and 8 series pure electric suburban bus. Chairman Chen Hong affirmed the improved power of 9 series models and put forward requirements for further product improvement and refinement.
Then, Chairman Chen Hong held a research meeting in the Meeting Room 508 at SUNWIN. General Manager Gui Longming reported to Chairman Chen Hong about the operation, order-based production and marketing linkage, and improvements in quality and services. Kan Weifeng, executive director of the Technical Center, reported about product preparations and benchmarking. After hearing the reports, Chairman Chen Hong affirmed the improvements that SUNWIN has made in business quality and product capabilities in recent years, and put forward requirements on market relationship maintenance, quality system improvement, and after-sales service enhancement. Quoting an old saying that “it takes a good blacksmith to make steel”, he emphasized SUNWIN needs to further improve the quality management system and extend it along both ends: development and suppliers on one side and internal processes on the other. For internal processes, SUNWIN needs to strengthen the visual quality management system and strictly apply AUDIT to vehicle products. He made it clear that SAIC Motor will provide SUNWIN with appropriate resource support to help it continuously improve its quality system and product standards. He urged SUNWIN to pursue sustainable development by enhancing the product power.
